the heart of the Shekhawati region and is 260 kms from Delhi, 200 kms from Bikaner
and 165 kms from Jaipur. Thakur Nawal Singh built it way back in 1775. He was
the descendant of the founder of the Nawalgarh city, Rao Shekhaji.
The
moment you step in the Mandawa Castle you will be awed at the stupendous size
and spectacular sight of the Heritage Hotel. The high-ceiled Darbar Hall with
family memorabilia of the royal Mandawa family on the walls is amazingly beautiful.
This drawing room of the castle is referred to as rge Diwan Khana. Then there
is the
formal dining room houses the worth watching mural paintings. The
colonial verandah is an excellent spot for lazing around.

Castle Heritage Hotel comprises of a whooping 51 rooms. The remarkable fact about
these rooms lies in the fact that each one of them has been uniquely done. The
assorted paintings, jade, costumes and antiques will leave a long lasting impression

The evenings and the nights are made enchanting by the fire-dances
and the candle lit dinners in the courtyard and the terrace of the Mandawa Castle
Heritage Hotel. The terrace of the Heritage Hotel offers a spectacular view of
distant temples and the cenotaphs. You may even be at the pavilion where the twinkling
oil lamps appear as spectacular as the stars in the sky above.
During
your stay at the Heritage Hotel of the Mandawa Castle you may walk down the world-renowned
havelis of the town. These beautifully painted havelis had been the abodes of
several primary business families earlier though today it's the caretakers present
there who will proudly explain the decorative dwellings to you.
The must
visit list of painted havelis comprise of the Goenka haveli, Chowkhani haveli,
Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia haveli, Mohahanlal saraf haveli etc.
The town of Mandawa also acts as base for trips to other Shekhawati towns like
Chirawa, Jhunjhunu, Nawalgarh, Mukundgarh and Dundlod.
The more adventurous
of you may undertake a camel safari to the neighboring villages. The first hand
experience of the rustic lifestyles of the people here will not fail to spellbind
you with its simplicity and color. The leisure activities at the Heritage Hotel
go beyond camel and jeep safaris.
Your experience of the Mandawa Castle
Heritage Hotel will leave you yearning for the yester years that were not just
royal but even rich and resplendent.

Do not forget to pick up the many
special items available in the terrific town. You will be charmed by the colorful
art and crafts pieces like the textiles colored using the tie and dye techniques,
the artifacts carved in wood and the handicrafts in various metals.

plans for the magical holidays at the Mandawa Castle Heritage Hotel. The stay
at the majestic castle will surely leave you with tons of merry memories, special
souvenirs for near and dear ones, a wish to come back again for a relaxed vacation
and the pride of the rich Indian heritage.
Rooms: The large
and airy rooms of the Castle have been converted into charming, well appointed
accommodation, retaining the old flavour using period furniture and local furnishings.
No two rooms are alike (there are 70 of them -- Royal Suites, Luxury Suites, Deluxe
Rooms, Standard Rooms) and yet each of them display the grandeur and the taste
of the rulers of the past. A rare blend of modern comfort in medieval surroundings!
Part of the excitement of staying at Mandawa is a sense of discovery
at every turn. Battlements that offer spectacular views of the town below, a whimsical
peacock weathervane, an arched window that overlooks the verdant garden visited
by peacocks.
In the zenana or women's quarters, one room offers antique
murals, another has a marble fountain, while the turret room boasts of walls that
are 7 feet thick! Looking out from the windows of the turret room it is easy to
imagine the marauding bandits that once roamed freely here. Little wonder then
that the family crest contains the motto, Veer Bhogya Vasundhara - The brave shall
inherit the earth.
Facilities & Attractions There are
70 rooms, a verandah bar, conference facilities and an ayurvedic centre. The hotel
also organizes camel and horse rides, jeep safaris, gala dinners, puppet shows
