Haveli

Niwas Palace
Narain Niwas was built in the 1928 by General Amar Singh, Thakur of Kanota,
Commander of the Jaipur State Forces and confident of the then Maharaja,
Sawai Man Singh. General Amar Singh was the grandson of Thakur Zorawar Singh,
founder of the Kanota family. Thakur Shivnath Singh, (General Amar Singhjis
brother) supervised the actual construction. The new mansion was named after
their father, Thakur Narain Singh, who had been Chief of police in Jaipur
State as well as a minister at the neighbouring princely state of Alwar.
Phool
Mahal Palace, Kishangarh
Phool Mahal Palace has the massive Fort of Kishangarh as its backdrop and
is washed by the monsoon fed Gundalao Lake in front, an architectural setting
very rarely seen in Rajput history. Dry and drab though it may seem in the

Rambagh

Rambagh was initially, a modest four-room pavilion built for Kesar Badaran,
chief lady-in-waiting to Maharani Chandrawatji, in 1835. Later, in 1887,
a need for a guest-house cum hunting lodge arose. And Kesar Badaran ka Bagh
naturally lent itself to such a transition. Rambagh Palace however, only
achieved the status of a palace when Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II returned
to his childhood home in 1925. Rambagh Palace, resplendent in all its 47
acres, was finally converted into a hotel in 1957. The Management was then
